⁷You learned this from Epaphras,^[a] our beloved fellow servant and a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf. ⁸He was also the one who made known to us your love in the Spirit.

⁹That is why, ever since the day we first heard about it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
